ECON was created in April of 2010 as a result of a merger of McVay-Wood Engineering, LLC and Southeastern Carbon Solutions, LLC. McVay-Wood has provided engineering services, land surveying, land planning, transportation planning, environmental permitting and infrastructure design for over 30 years while Southeastern Carbon Solutions has excelled in the fields of renewable energy, solid waste management, agricultural biogas capture and utilization, sustainable forestry, biomass to energy and energy efficiency retrofitting.

We at ECON maintain that in today’s evolving marketplace for technical services, the fields of engineering and environmental management can no longer be viewed as separate service categories. Sustainable development, ecological stewardship and proactive energy approaches are now all fundamental to implementing effective long term engineering solutions.
